Yous hateful the OEM logo in the organization properties? That doesn't matter.

at that place is no like shooting fish in a barrel style to ready it though? I merely don't want this causing bug if I ever demand to get back up for my computer.

You can modify the registry keys inside hkey_local_machine/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/oeminformation

The logo should be placed in C:\Windows\System32\oem\logo.bmp
example C:\Windows\System32\OEM\Toshiba.bmp

Otherwise, a Windows reinstallation with the OEM disc that came with your buy should gear up it

If your computer is out of warranty (which I'm assuming it is), then your worry near "getting back up" is for nothing, as you accept no support for information technology in the kickoff identify.

The repair shop may take loaded a hacked copy of windows onto your auto.

Did it have all of the originalal toshiba software on it like when it was new?

  • #7
ok i might try that change of logo idea. I don't know virtually the software. I call back the repair shop did download a faulty copy bc my estimator told me my copy of windows was not 18-carat so I merely re-validated it. As long every bit this won't cause bug, I don't want to practise any major reinstallations

is it possible that the repair shop just put a Dell difficult bulldoze into my Toshiba?

It shouldn't cause whatsoever problems.

"Did it accept all of the originalal toshiba software on it like when it was new?"
This assumption means nix, let's say you lot buy a new windows CD information technology'll come 100% clean and won't have any branding of any kind nor toshiba'south software (toshiba or dell's software should come in a separate CD too).

If They didn't requite y'all a serial number nor charged you for a windows oem copy in that location's also the possibility they installed a dell windows oem disc and didn't validate it expecting y'all would make your own installation with the toshiba CD or yous'd validate it only as you did which is as feasible as they installed a shared (piracy?) version of windows that had been branded by dell already. If the case is the commencement you should not worry at all, if the instance is the latter there's ever the possibility information technology has malware/spyware which can be fixed past removing everything and doing a clean windows installation with toshiba's CD
